a LOT of fails on high 1st round QBs. There’s that word again. . .. POTENTIAL. that suggested trade up idea FOR POTENTIAL would make me break something.

damnit Cyber you’re probably right. Aside from Luke and a few rare cases they have never picked any of MY GUYS. I posted my early version of a mock a while back and i would bet that carolina won’t draft a single one. I can’t really remember there ever being such uncertainty with a carolina 1st round pick in this range. That confirms that there are MANY huge holes. I’m kind of hoping our brain trust is trying to be slick and add to the over blown (overhyped) QB situation. After that OT comment recently maybe not.
I hope those baboons at Walter football have it right EXCEPT for carolina picking Lance at 8 (the current bandwagon pick).
If they happened to be right then Parsons, Farley, Surtain, and Slater would still be available there, and I would rather take ANY of those at 8 than a rook QB

Dude, Walter Football is absolute shit this time of year. They don't seem to get serious about their mocks until April--for the longest time they were having us take Pitts.

Daniel Jeremiah is at least plugged in to GM and scout conversations, he's worth listening to but until Free Agency is over none of it matters much anyway.

With all that said, I think it's a safe bet that barring a trade we will end up with Fields or Lance, Parsons, Farley or Surtain, or Slater. Any of the non-QBs will provide immediate benefit, and if one of the QBs is taken we just have to trust that the coaching staff knows what it's doing.

His mock has us taking Lance, but there are no trades in it and I can almost guarantee you that lots of trades will happen in the top 10.

Jeremiah has been sticking to us taking Lance.

Pitts would be very good too.

Joe Brady hasn't ever shown a desire to feature a Tight End, Pitts would be another WR here. And only Detroit ever considers taking Tight Ends in the top 10. Do you want to be like Detroit? Because that's how you end up like Detroit!

well aware of that. that’s in part why i referred to them as baboons. I just liked that the baboons left a lot of great picks for carolina and then had us reach for lance

He's way more than a TE and we need one. Wouldn't be my first choice, which you've seen from what I've previously said. Would be a good addition nonetheless especially if Samuel leaves.

My first choice would be to draft Lance, and if not him then trade back for more picks but if we take Pitts I certainly wouldn't be upset about it.
