From the third series of the game, until the beginning of the 4Q, here’s how the Panthers distributed the offensive play calling:

Run calls: 7

Pass calls: 26

 

And we kept running play action in the 4th quarter, even though Washington knew we weren't going to run the ball. Lunacy.

 

Mom still two gap?

 

I'm not sure why, but it seemed like a lot of the passing plays took too much time to develop, or Allen was ignoring the quick passes.

 

He has limitations. They’ve been exposed.

 

I miss Cam. I miss the way we bullied teams with Stewart and Tolbert. Watching some of that Ravens game reminded me of us four years ago. We've "evolved" into a bland, soft team without an identity. It's too bad.

 

We are definitely a soft team. It is a damn shame. A lot of Norv nut huggers out there. He’s not infallible in all this. Dealing with a setback at the quarterback position does not excuse some of the personnel and play calling gaffes.

But the defense is the story. I mean, never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined seeing a 2 win football team come in and push them around like that. All that shit talking, and all the posing, and you get run all over by a team with two wins. Never in my wildest dreams in August did I see it getting this bad. Though, B&B and I both pointed out the New England game as a precursor to what this defense could look like against the run.

 

I think Cam has 4-5 good years left.

 

I really hope so. It's not the same without him.
