1+1 is still better than 0+1. If anything the new rules have widened the gap as it's harder to build a lock down defense to complement less than stellar QB play this is why teams are so nakedly tanking for a QB now- it's almost impossible to succeed any other way.

I think a decent game manager can do pretty well nowadays.

So I was watching one of the sports talk shows and one of the jocks kept saying that Allen was a back up for a reason, but never said why. I guess as long as Cam is on the team that he will always be called a back up.
To me, being called back up is akin to being second or even third rate and I think Allen has been performing better than a second rate talent.
I know eventually the Panthers are going to lose with him as QB, but I just want to see if he is the reason for the loss.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm looking to see if he's the reason for a win. That's really the only thing I want. The dude throws a beautiful ball, and spreads it out nicely, but he's still just managing the game and until last week he was a liability when he didn't get good protection. I really, really want to see him carve up a good defense just once.

Kirk Cousins is a good game manager. Not worth his contract though. I think Allen is at his level, or can be with a little more experience.

I thought the Vikings were wanting Cousins` head on a display a couple of weeks ago.

Cousins throws a really nice ball and if you draw up the play well he’s going to look great. He can’t beat you like Brees can, but he can put up as many yards.

The more i think about this comparison it seems like a good one. I just hope Allen’s agent doesn’t demand a Cousins-like contract. .. if he does i’d rather trade him and string cam along another year with a franchise tag (assuming he gets healthy and can still win)
