While other bloggers and writers feed you steaming piles of dogshit (like what JOURDAN THINKS ABOUT TAKING A SAFETY IN THE 7th.), I finna do a weekly Panthers podcast dedicated to jersey number updates and obscure ass plays from Panthers yesteryear.

Like....Proehl’s clutch catch in 2005 at Buffalo they kept us driving.

He wore 52 in Atlanta. Somebody named Jared Norris wears it here. 51 is taken.

I’m going to devote an entire episode to Moose’s fumble at the goal line against Detroit in 99.

(Jesus now I’m getting old. Did moose fumble the ball over the pylon against Detroit 99? If not, I apologize for the misinformation. If indeed he did, kiss my dick.)

    Sometimes here, sometimes there

My son and I were on the first row, home side, right corner of the EZ that game. Smitty ran back two punt returns, one right at us. I think we got a safety in the other EZ first quarter that game. I was up getting a beer on the other smitty return :(.

Other than the good scoring on our end that game, I didn't like those seats.

The only things I remember from that game are the punt returns and the safety. I do also remember JDR's scheme having an unusually bad game, especially in the first half.

I remember Joe Montgomery coming in for a potential TD, but Fox sitting on the ball out of respect to a morbidly depressed Dick LeBeau.

No, but just imagine. You pride yourself on defense. Every fiber of your being is defense, defense, defense. And you’re BARELY holding one of the worst offenses in the NFL, with Rodney Peete at quarterback, under 60 points.

Not to mention, those awful goddamn helmet and uniforms.
