I just read an article that suggested we would take a G, S, and WR with our first three picks. The draft can't get here soon enough for me.

Mike Smith won’t be participating in the 2019 NFL Draft.

I wouldn't be stunned to see us trade Samuel and replace him with a more traditional "X" receiver. He's so similar to Moore that it's kind of superfluous to have both, and I do think there's something to having that big body WR near the endzone.

    Plus Hurney didn't draft him.

The author's selections were Garrett Bradbury, Deionte Thompson, and Riley Ridley. The author thinks Bradbury would be our starting left guard, so maybe you would be happy about it.

I don't think LG is nearly as big a need as a quality edge rusher who's still in his 20s. And between CMC, Moore, Samuel, Olsen (for half the season), and Thomas we've got some good targets for Cam, so unless we get a steal I don't see us going after a receiver in the first three picks. With all that said, last year was the first in a long time where I was right about our first pick, so I don't know a lot.

I'd be fine drafting more offensive lineman. Daryl Williams is on a one year deal, and coming off a serious injury. Van Roten is a quality backup in a perfect world.

I can see the argument for a Tackle, and liked the idea of Bradbury at center before we signed Paradis. I think 16 is a little high for him though.

Now, if somehow Hurney traded down to the mid 20s and then snagged him, then a 2-3rd round shotgun approach for pressure would suit me fine.

I assume you've read or are familiar with Ross Tucker's assessment of the line positions, and that Left Guard is the easiest. Do you agree with it? It colors my thinking on whether we should take what would be effectively a left guard with the 16th pick.
