I guess it might. The modern roofs seem like they wouldn't take as long to construct.

    Are there any architects here?

It would be a nice gesture if Tepper would put down most or all of his money into this, but it sounds like the opposite will happen. Ripping off the taxpayers has become the norm for NFL owners, but it's still an awful thing to do. It is especially egregious and immoral for an investor who has more than enough capital to do this.

    But hey, midfield logo.

From what I know on the subject, a lot depends upon the load bearing allowance of the existing structure. A roof probably would not just be able to set on the existing wall structure. But it wouldn't be all that tough, tho costly, to erect an outer load bearing structure for the roof. But I haven't seen the plans for the existing construction, obviously, so I'm not sure.

It seems like the roofs of modern stadiums are lighter weight. Minnesota basically plays in a green house. I'm guessing they could erect the outer bearing one offseason and then slap a roof on top of it the following offseason. It would ugly as hell to look at for a year, but I'm assuming they would just play through it.

I’m looking forward to it. Like I said, I’m just glad we’re not moving the fucking stadium out of uptown

As an out of state fan, it doesn't effect me at all, but I totally get why local PSL owners are fed up. There's a reason why heavily subsidized stadiums are half empty. Nobody wants your craft beer if you also have your hand up their ass.
