First off I'm against it but I've read that folks are speculating the Panthers trade with new England was to get a pick to move up. Is there a REALISTIC trade you'd make? What player do you think they'd consider it for

I wouldn't. This draft is loaded with every position except OT and QB. As long as you don't have your heart set on one of those two you are going to get a really good player. Garrett is in a different league altogether, but it would take too much to get from 8 to 1.

The Panthers did not get an extra pick from New England, they only moved up eight spots from the top of the third to the bottom of the second.

I really hope we do NOT trade up to get the player we won't use properly.

The draft is too deep, and it's a Godsend we have the picks we do in the top 100, so let's get some good players.

Love the player, but not sure I love him in Carolina with Shula. He covers a lot of what we need though.

In this draft however, it makes more sense in my opinion to trade back a little and acquire extra picks. We need a lot of players still. I know everyone is excited about the reunion, but the truth is, we haven't upgraded much at all and we're not a very good team.

I get that, I guess I misspoke. Talking g heads were implying the Panthers might want to trade up either back into the 1st? Or from 8 up. Who knows

I really think we just wanted to get rid of Kony. Gettleman isn't that much of a chess player.

I expect Fattycakes to trade up because that's what he does when he has extra picks, but I don't think the Ealy trade was part of some five dimensional chess game he's playing over everybody's head. It was just him getting something for a wasted pick.
