Agreed. It's amazing how the Seahawks have put a team together totally made up of players from the Pacific NW! Un-frickin-fair!

 

So the benching of Cam was apparently over not wearing a tie. Rivera decided that this was worth creating a controversy over, as well as ceding an early 3 points to Seattle.


This organization lost it's damn mind this year.

 

I stopped watching at halftime.

 

I think Rivera did too, honestly. Luke and TD appeared to be the only members of the team who were still engaged after halftime.

You hate using injuries as the excuse but it's reaching a preposterous level. It's really impressive that we've been in every game up until last night. That gives me some hope.

 

Rivera has had a stretch here of very odd coaching decisions. And by odd I mean poor. Benching of cam was weird but no way to tell Tolbert would just drop it and let it get picked.
He has repeatedly come up soft and not going for it on short yardage situations. Punting from the opponents 40 yard line, netting 15 yards.

I've said it before and last night, some media guys jumped on,but apart from Olsen, Ginn is our best WR. He gets open the most reliably. Benjamin either doesn't try or has so many mental mistakes he is useless. He has been pretty terrible apart from a few nice catches.

Tolbert and Dixon unfortunately both need to be sacrificed.
Ealy was getting dominated.

Benjamin and Ealy. Shaq and Funchess. Butler and Bradberry. Last few first and second rounders. Bradberry is probably the one I'm most intrigued by. Shaq doesn't make plays. Ealy sucks and so does Benjamin. cant sustain success with such little contributions from draft picks.

 

fucking idiotic to bench Newton, NFL should refund all ticket holders for money spent. It's like marrying a virgin and Melonhead shows up in the marriage bed. You know you are going to score but it will be lopsided and very messy!

The benching was really dumb considering what I've heard from rivera and cam, especially considering they stayed on the west coast, it reminded me of a big swinging dick power play reminiscent of gman idiocy. I'm disappointed rivera had to go there. The stuttering fuck is actually proving he's not all that. His hires aren't all that either. I bet LK could out-coach him. Going for it on 4th and short when you have the talent is really a no-brainer, unless you have a dumb fuck OC, but still. Why does everybody make such a big deal about the riverboat shit, when it's not that. Hell, he appears to be more riverboat with his players lately than coaching on the field.

Still, who woulda thought this year all the sudden #3 would turn into a turn-over machine along with tolbert turning into a dancing, no catching, slow geriatric player. I love the guy, but dang. Everybody seems to want to start dancing and juking and shit when simply moving forward would get a 1st instead of coming up short because of being pussies and not running over people. Ginn and Brown are the biggest wimps for contact I've seen lately.

That first play surely no one would have thought would happen, but still, benching cam was dumb, imo. And so karma fucking struck.

I am really disappointed that throughout the history of this franchise, my favorite seasons (1996, 2003, 2015, etc.) seem to be followed by complete shit. Seems they've built solid stuff, only to find out the next year a rebuilding is in order. Seems they've been 'rebuilding' since 1997, after building from scratch in 1995. Every four years or so they seem to have 'built' something, only then to find out what they've built/neglected/overpaid results needing trash removal.

Pitiful. Really. It's really hard to like this team putting one's heart and soul in it if only because it's the home team, only to face the reality the organization can't seem to really do things right consistently. It's really hard to tell if it's the coaches and gm, or the talent. We've been on a roller coaster ride for 22 seasons now, with more downs than ups; and yeah, we aren't detroit or cleveland, etc., but fucking A, what a tease this organisation is. And how incompetent they seem to be moreso than good. They can't even be a solid above average for more than one or two years in a row.
