Hurney made some great picks. And some fucking disaster what the fuck are you thinking picks that really set us back.

I am hoping Gettleman is smart enough to not start throwing future 1sts around like nickels.

And yeah no shit Smoke Screen. He took a lot of the fun of being a fan out of it for me.

If Smitty had stayed in Carolina he wouldn't have been as good as he's been in Baltimore. In '13 he was starting to look chunky and slow, he'd lost the edge.

Gettleman rubbed the Ben-gay in Smitty's jock by cutting him, and last year in Baltimore he looked leaner and quicker.

So if somehow Smitty squeaks into the HOF on the strength of 2 pretty good final years in Blatimore he need to kiss Gettleman's fat ass for giving him the motivation to get back his bull mojo.

We know that it was a power play, pure and simple. Gettleman wanted to prove that he was the boss by getting rid of the team's central figure.

some of yall are nuts. we are better off without smitty. its cam, luke, kalil, and td's team. smitty is not a the type of person they are. smitty is insane. he has serious anger issues. he would disrupt this team. he could kill it. he is that fucking contagious. he was born to be a raven or a raider in their day, on that kind of team. he and tomlin may have been great. loved cheering for him. loved his intensity. hated him cheapshotting 2 teammates. letting him go was handled poorly. it was personal. that part should have stayed behind closed doors. but he wasn't right for this team. anybody here who has had to be a boss of 20 people or more knows there are allstar employees who are allstar troublemakers. you just can't let them go because of the good job they do, until you've had enough. then you wonder why you didn't do it earlier because of how much better things go, and how much happier the workforce is without them.

and fuck that ************. hes a fucking raven. they suck.

That's a bunch of horseshit. In 2011 at 32 years old, Steve was 5th in the league for receiving yards. In 2012 at 33 years old, Steve was 12th in the league for receiving yards. In 2013, Mike Shula happened.

    Sometimes here, sometimes there

Agreesome. I could believe that. I could believe a coupla other reasons as well.

I could also believe its all of the above.

As much as Smith is one of my all time favs, I've had a few problems with him that all of has have at one time or another.

I'm not sure it was that bad of a move.

I would like him to retire as a panther.

I almost wish he'd have retired as a panther the year he was cut, before he was.

One thing I do think for sure: he prolly wishes he was a panther right now, regardless.

It cost more at the time to cut him than keep him, although it did help the 2015 cap. And obviously Steve is still better than any wideout the Panthers have had on the roster since he got cut.
