Panthers vs Seahawks Running Commentary

As far as the media, I can't really blame them for dismissing us again. Seattle is 2-4. Regardless, it was a great come back win.

So it really means something coming from the neighborhood troll.

 

It goes both ways. I've seen some on ESPN today crowing about how great Cam Newton has become when in reality he had a Delhomme game with three shitty quarters and a superb one at the end. Stewart did work yesterday; I wish he would get some more love on that. Really hard running inside and he fought for every yard.

 

Many of the espn guys and the new guy on nfl live (who's terrible) keep referring the Cam as "Cam New'en."

There's a 'T' in Newton. Yankees especially and consistently. Idiots.

I cussed Cam yesterday through the first 3 quarters, along with Funches (I'm not sure whether it's that he can't catch or Cam and his timing sucks, making the passes tough to catch, or both).

But holy cow how he can make plays sometimes.

Oher sucks. Our safeties suck. Play calling sucks at the absolute worst times.

But this is one of the few seasons where our game planning looks pretty sound, especially in the second half where we've adjusted. After all the past season we've complained incessantly about it.

The media sucks as well. I thought the refs were good and fair in yesterday's Panthers game.

Too bad Benjamin has been hurt.

 

I'm not so sure it hasn't secretly been a good thing. It dampened expectations, but more importantly it stopped Cam from forcing the ball to one guy.

 

That's a good point.

Although he does at times force the ball to Olsen. He did at least twice yesterday on third and short and had a guy open (#10 once, the other I can't recall #) short and wide open- at the sticks but forced to a covered Olsen for a potential 10-yd+ gain and missed both of those and we punted.

I just wished funches would be better- or Cam would develop better timing with him and throw more catchable balls to him. Either way they aren't on the same page much. But I do credit him with a great play late.

I wasn't as disgusted with Newton as I was Shula. He's getting a hall pass and I'm not sure why. it was a hideous gameplan, and Newton is a far better OC than he is. When we went no huddle, and he took it over, we were dominant.
