    5 year extension at 62 million. Given his value as an impact player, I guess he's not as greedy as Peppers or Hardy.

    Still, it's quite a raise from the 3.1 M he's currently making (endorsements withstanding)...and I believe his deal surpasses Wagner's.

    Defensive ends get paid a lot more than inside linebackers. Kuechly is getting paid $2 million more per season than any other middle linebacker. I'm just glad it wasn't even worse.

    Not quite....Wagner was 4/43 so it's like 1.6/year more but that's splitting hairs.

    I knew he'd get more than Wagner, was thinking a little bit less though.

    What makes me nervous is Dan Morgan, Jon Beason, DeMeco Ryans, Sean Lee...it's a position that doesn't lend itself to long careers....
