Norv wouldn't surprise me. I do think they'll go offense and fall into the "THIS GUYS GONNA FIX OUR QB" trap while completely taking a dump on that defense.

Blank said, prior to the season, he wanted a tougher team. That's why all the "be more physical" lip service was all over Hard Knocks. But they weren't tougher at all.

I don't believe their next HC will be a finesse scheme guy. But that's just my guess, I may be way off.

You're a 1000% correct. Why would any coach worth his own mud want to work for those two dumb shits?

The names I keep hearing in the local press are as follows (in no particular order):

    Jim Tomsula
    Vic Fangio
    Mike Holmgren
    Pep Hamilton
    Mike Shanahan

You can scratch Holmgren and Shanahan as they'd never put up with dumb and dumber.

Tomsula has been with the franchise for 8 years and has a solid relationship w/ ownership/management.

Harbaugh has publicly stated that Fangio wants to stay in SF and wants the job, but is he the type of HC that would endure dumb and dumber?

Pep Hamilton could be a strong potential candidate not necessarily because his skill set as a coach warrants the job, but because he wants that first HC job and is willing to be bossed around by the likes of dumb and dumber.

The 49ers best bet IMO is Vic Fangio provided he can put together a strong offensive staff. The defense is tight, and they really would be smart not to fuck with it. If they can keep 1/3 of the puzzle together, they might end up in decent shape.

Regardless of who they hire, 49er fans are genuinely pissed. The PR department has their work cut out for them.

Um, no it wasn't. You thought it got better this year for fucks sake?????

You don't think RG3's Operation Patience horseshit had any play in the debacle? Any of his passive aggressive blaming the coaches for his injury, when injuries are a part of the game?

    Good fucking grief.

Shanahan had COMPLETE control in Washington and ran that team and that QB into the ground.

He did but coaches and front office do that all the time. Gettleman leaked lies about Steve Smith before the Baltimore game. It happens a lot - and it doesn't make it right, but Shanny leaked it I think to get some truth out - just like Gruden has done his share this year, because RG3 is an out of control piece of pampered shit who can't play, and a coach killer.

Im not disputing that the coach fucked up.

I'm simply disputing that it was 100% him. And because he has total control, doesn't make anyone else infallible, and I sure as fuck hope you're not saying that.

Even if you think a lot of it is on RG3, which I think some of it is, it was Shanahan who went ALL IN with the ridiculous trade to acquire him. It was Shanahan who played him in the playoff game despite being obviously injured, which effectively ended up killing their 2013 season. It wa also Shanahan who traded for McNabb and subsequently benched him for Rex Grossman, who he eventually benched for John Beck.
