Wow I just watched the kick return again and it was Harper who fucked up. He had a wide open lane to come down and knock the shit out of Pacman, but instead got frozen like an little old bitch. God I wish I didn't see that again.

And Cotchery's endzone drop. Oh man. That was just a flat drop. Cuck Hands.

We did more of this last year, surprisingly with Mitchell playing single high.

I think the loss of Munnerlyn hurts badly. He was a solid tackler, and a really solid cover guy, his biggest weakness being his size.

Who plays the high though? DeCoud? Godfrey? Mitchell had that great speed, and was a slobberknocker - he fit in our defense well. For all of Gettleman's praise he gets for being a great pro personnel guy, I think he's been painfully average on the defensive side of the ball.

More zone? Yes. Maybe that's all we fucking have. We'll still get exposed all day with a savvy QB and no pass rush....

Jesus. What's happened to this defense?

    Beautiful.

Yep, I saw that too. Took a bad angle though, went flat instead of high - and didn't just make the lunge.

It was a terrible design though. We flooded one side, and really the only chances we had were Harper and fucking Gano.

It was still so fucking preventable.

Middle third in a C3 isn't single high, as single high is C1. I guess we'd have DeCoud do it, but you can also have the MLB drop into that deep middle.

He's been awful in general aside from his first round picks and then Short in the second. Steve tearing up the AFC makes fat man look like an idiot, while Chandler is making Bell look competent in comparison. Gettleman bungled the middle rounds of both drafts and it's pretty clear that his bargain additions in 2013 were luck that he didn't repeat in 2014. I keep telling myself that at least he's not giving out bad contracts or trading draft picks, but he's still been an awful GM. A lot of fans don't believe it (or think Shula is terrible) because of the overall record. *shug*

I will say I was pleasantly surprised by the offensive line.part of it is obviously masked by Cams somewhat improved mobility but there weren't as many huge breakdowns as in the past. Did a nit terrible job run blocking when fozzy was in there. Reaves brings very little to the table. It was a small step in the right direction.

On another similar note, Silatolu got early and left but he hasn't been very good at all this year. I think I was expecting bigger things from him. Should've known better.

They didn't give up a sack, but Cam got hit a lot and I can't recall many plays where he could sit back without pressure. I'd have to watch the game again to be sure, though. It's weird how disorienting being at a game can be.

It was better. And run blocking was better.

The running game did look good in the first half. I'm not sure what happened later on.
