    This whole thing caught me by surprise because it makes no sense. I'm expecting cooler heads to prevail and Steve to return for another season.

    The makes no sense part is what has me thinking there's at least one very important piece of the story that we don't know.

    I'm not really expecting anything, but I'm not surprised by either outcome.

    Again, fans have to stop thinking that general managers know what they're doing. Most of them are idiots. Only an idiot would leave Byron Bell without any competition at right tackle and then give every indication that he will now move to left tackle. We have no reason to think that Dave Gettleman is anything other than an incompetent idiot.

    I'm out for this year. They'll not get a dime for me. I'm fucking done with them.

    And this year, sure, no games have been played, but what a massive fucking regression that's taking place.

    Goddamn, that piece of shit is destroying what little offense we had.

    Considering my history of being a smitty fan boy, for some reason I'm not even slightly upset about this.

    In our young history 89 was by far the best and easily the most entertaining player we've ever had. I hope he retires a panther, and gets a statue.

    My personal favorite seasons were 2003 and 2005, a long time ago. 2008 grab against green bay was better than sex, as was his treatment of peanut in chicago. X clown.

    If he opened a restaurant, I'd go.

    He's undersized - maybe he can rekindle the fire with Delhomme and become a stud jockey.
