    Here's a guy to watch.

Jeff Janis WR from Saginaw St. Ultra productive at that level..

    6-3/219 with unofficial 4.30 (official 4.42) had best 10'yard split at 1.47 a 37.5" vertical and 32.5" arms.

I'm actually pretty confident no matter who ends up on the roster at WR, they're in good hands with Proehl. The guy has really made a difference. Stanford just hired his undertstudy to be their RB's coach.

Martavis Bryant of Clemson is another physical freak at 6'4"/211 with unofficial times of 4.34 and 4.35 with a split of 1.53. This draft is deeeeeeep at wide receiver.

Hell, I wonder if Logan Thomas has decent hands and could be talked into playing tight end. He's a shitty QB, but a 6'6'/248 guy running 4.61 with a 35.5" vertical and 9'10" broad jump is damned impressive. I wouldn't mind the Panthers taking him and even telling him they want him to be Cam Jr. as long as they actually have no intention whatsoever of ever letting him play quarterback.

As for guys who could be backups, throw Stephen Morris in with Tahj Boyd. I liked Morris more coming into the season and still think he has the potential to develop into a nice enough backup that you wouldn't rip your dick off at the thought of him filling in after an injury.

Thomas could very well be a guy who's targeted by certain teams with creative offensive platforms, and will mostly play tight end like you say. He could help add wrinkles to an already potent attacks )like San Fran, New Orleans, or Philly) or help spice up offenses with high performing but limited QB situations (like Kansas City, Atlanta, or Seattle). San Fran, for instance, already budgets its roster for 2 TE sets is not hesitant to thro curve balls on draft say (see Lattimore, the WR from Illinois). Then again, Buffalo could fall in love with him as QB, too. He's definitely a wild card.

The Raiders have been a qb picking losers for quite a while.
I can see them taking a chance on Logan at qb.

Thomas has monster hands. Most schools recruited him as a TE, but Beamer agreed to give him a shot at QB. I suspect you're probably right about his NFL QB prospects, but I'd be curious see what a good QB coach can do with him. QB development not something VT has ever done very well, and Thomas in particular went through a couple of coaching changes in his last couple of years.

I'm sure he wants to try, but his accuracy and touch have never been there and he doesn't have a natural grasp of the position. I don't think the best QB coaching in the world makes him into starter-worthy in the NFL.
