What it with all you black people adoring the half-white people?

 

I appologize as I didn't get the memo regarding the nuances between hipsters, thugs and wigger looks.

Probably because I'm old and wished it really was the 70s and 80's. Looking back, it remindes me that my father didn't get the difference between the mullett and the big hair look (I had both) and how it represented nuanced differences in the music (and as such, the bands I was playing in at the time). And he didn't give a fuk then, as I don't now. The goofy look then, as now, didn't do shit to help make anybody successful, unless they had money aready, played music, sports or were/are celebrities. Primarily a vast minority of the folks sporting the relative looks. If I had of gotten that then, I be even further ahead now.

However, I did google the hipster look, and not once did I find on numerous pages did any 'hipster' have a lid on, much less wearing it sideways/45 degrees. Tats were also on the downlow. Hipsters appear to be the yuppies of my day. Kaep didn't resemble that to me at the time.

In addition, I didn't get that Kaep had a cardigan on, it looked more like a jacket from my vantage point during the presser when I observed it.

I will say, tho, that most of the folks I personally come in contact wtih who remotely dress like the look Kaep had at the presser (especially when it comes to the lid and tats-minus the cardigan) are primarily younger parents of the youth I coach. And most of them are pretty fuking low class and thugish, whether they are black or white. I knowwhat they are, because I know them and their kids. And they really don't need the Kaepernicks of the world being shitty role models for them, they already have it bad enough. I will give him credit for at least covering the tats in the presser.

And to me, it's still a clown look (just like the hippy/big hair/mullett look we had when I was a kid). You can't make it a better look just because you have money. Because most of the folks with that look, do not. At least the folks I know sporting it. No matter what term you apply, hipster, thug or wigger. I'm certainly not gonna appologize or be berrated because I'm not down with the look of the day. I'll use whatever terms I feel like using and if you don't like it, fuk you. I know I'm not gonna hire anybody at a professional level sporting that doofus look during an interview (on a personal level at the right time is fine, however).

At the very least, it's a really stoopid look for a professional QB doing a national press conference, post conference championship who is a larger than life potential role model for the youth of the world.
