I'm not a Pats historian but think that type of mistake is rare. Also, from what I recall reading, Welker got in Bill's doghouse for speaking out on something (don't remember exactly what) so there could have been some example making at work too.

You'd have to ask Y2b the answer to that question.

It's the same rational to other teams hating Steve Smith for beating up 4 team mates. He's our asshole and we love him.

SS might be your A-hole, but I'd love to have him on my team.

We all hated Smitty when he beating the hell out of his team mates. Now we all love his antics. If he played for the Falcons or Aints, we would despise him.

    Harbaugh is a great coach.

Harbaugh is amazing. And say what you want about SF's antics Sunday, but he knew EXACTLY what buttons to push against us. He is a brilliant leader and a great competitor. He was also one of my favorite QBs growing up.

And I hope he loses by 50 this week.

Harbaugh is a hell of a coach. Y2B is dumb for thinking otherwise

I still think John is a little better. This year's Ravens could have been 4-12 with a different coach. Plus he's 2-0 against Jim, hard to ignore that.

Not all of us. I was disappointed, but that was about it. I never wanted to trade him and all of that other absurd shit.

I'm not sure letting Woodhead walk was that great an idea either. I do like Vereen, and I guess they thought they didn't need Woodhead with him around, but after injuries they certainly could have used him. Again, I get what you're going at about the Patriots not making Hurney-type mistakes, but I'm not sure they can really be held up as a shining example of personnel decisions, at least not lately. They've made some pretty questionable ones in the last few years, they just overcome it because the people they have are that damned good.
