    Cutler needs an offensive line that can defend him. As he can't do it all by himself you know! He is really the best QB the Bears have had in such a long time.

    It's being reported as a 3 year, $54 million deal with team option years after the third. No signing bonus, but the base salaries for the first three years look to be guaranteed. Looks like some odd guarantee language in the deal, so once I get a look at some of those specifics, I'll try to make some sense of it.

    Still doesn't make it a good contract. He'll cost $22.5 million against the cap next year which is crazy. But the total amounts reported on these contracts is usually fluff. He won't see anywhere close to $126 million, and it's likely he'll only see just less than half of that.
