    I think this really is Rivera's defense, not as much McDermott's. Rivera had the #1 ranked Defense in SD and he has the one here… he's stated he would have a heavier hand in everything and I think it's got his mark all over it. McDermott is not going anywhere.

    The offense still reminds me a lot of Tampa's when they had Shaun King, Alstott making the Pro Bowl, just with a lot more talent. The offense is evolving. I'm okay with going down and scoring touchdowns in the red zone, converting 3rd downs, winning the T.O.P. and pushing people around in the second half

    To be fair I always thought Tolbert had an underrated scrappiness to him, like he brings his lunch in a pail.

    ^^ This stuff, and I think we're 14-4 over the last 18 games.

    Last year it seemed like adjustments sucked, and rookies sucked.

    Also - we've started winning the close ones. We lost so many fucking close ones last year, and Seattle and Buffalo was that same situation all over.

    Our defense is closing games. We choked cock vs. Buffalo, got blessed by the football Gods against the Patriots, but we decidedly closed games out, with offense and defense, against SF and Miami. That's new - and it's something I didnt think would happen with Ron.
