    It's that time of year.

McDonald's 3rd Degree Burns Lawsuit Hot:

    Joe Philbin
    Greg Schiano

Tampa will be interesting, because I think they can finish strong. I imagine that would create a more positive view of Schiano, even though this year has still been an unmitigated disaster. Miami might very well limp into the playoffs but even that might not be enough to save Philbin. I expect a complete organizational overhaul down there.

Getting Into My Car During The Middle Of August Hot:

    Mike Munchak
    Leslie Frazier

Tennessee is one game out of the playoffs, but facing a three game road trip and change of ownership. Munchak almost certainly has to make the playoffs to save his job. Minnesota knew what they were doing when they refused to give Frazier a long term extension after Adrian Peterson ran him to the playoffs. Neither one of these guys ever should have been a head coach in the NFL.

Suspicious Of My Wife Having An Affair Hot:

    Gary Kubiak
    Mike Smith
    Mike Shanahan
    Rex Ryan
    Dennis Allen
    Jason Garrett

Kubiak maybe gets a pass because of his health issues, but they better start winning some games down the stretch. His tenure there is really quite underwhelming when you consider how much talent they've had (Eight Years, Two playoff appearances). I don't buy the vote of confidence for Smith in Atlanta, especially since their losing streak has no end in sight. Shanahan's tenure in Washington has been incredibly shitty outside of last year's miracle playoff run, and how that ended has given rise to this year's disaster. Some would argue that Rex has NYJ overperforming but he's still on very thin ice up there. I think he needs to secure that final wildcard spot to stay on. Any Cowboys coach will always be in this category, and who really gives a shit about Dennis Allen?

Cooling Down But Not Yet Out Of The Woods:

    Ron Rivera

Lovie Smith was also 7-3 last year. Gotta finish.

Fun fact: Munchak's Titans have lost to the team with the worst record in the nfl 3 years running...

The only defense I'll make for Munchak is that their GM is pretty shitty. They burned a whole lot of money in free agency. I had to double check to make sure they hadn't hired Hurney in some capacity.

No way does Blank get rid of Mike Smith. It's really kind of amazing that no one has been fired yet. Shanahan is an interesting case because the results are a strong indictment and Snyder has to be feeling the Joe Gibbs déjà vu, but I think he gets another season because they're all-in on RG3.

Didn`t see Coughlin`s name on the list.
Since the Gn`ts have won a few in a row, does today`s game mark his hire or fire?

You can't fire a Superbowl winning coach of the year.
