I was hoping the Pack would sail along with the North. I don't want them in the wildcard discussion with us

Fuck em. If we're gonna crack the playoffs, we can't back our asses in.

We have to play good teams to get in, and once we're in, we have to beat good teams to advance. I'm glad the 49ers and Patriots are coming. I'd be happy with a split, elated with two wins...and if we lose them, then we're who we suspect we are.

I'm afraid until we fix the OL, and until our DL lives up to expectations, we're only going to go so far....

Star needs to improve his fucking rush, Hardy needs to get heavier again, CJ is playing nicked up, and we need Edwards back in the middle, because Cole should be a rotational guy, not a starter next to Star which basically means we're playing nothing but gap control and no rush.

I'd like to see Short a lot more. He's been damn effective when playing. Give him mad reps.

But goddammit, we need an effective 3 in there, or we're not gonna be that DL that we want to be. Glad to see Alexander back, because he's a better rusher than Horton, and it's about time.

Now I want to see Thomas and Norman back in some capacity. Jesus, I mean, Thomas is so good in zone. So he got whipped in man to man vs. receivers who are taller and faster. Let's hide him and play him in the rotation, but he's a good fucking player. Goddammit. Flo is not a good run supporter either. And I'd LOVE for Norman to play the nickel and dime if he can learn the goddamn playbook....he's a fucking ballhawk warming the bench.

And FUCK. need to clean up the tackling. WtF, man.

Oh, and if we're gonna play a rush and read, can we lay off the wide 9? It's not been very good for us at all. We seem to be taking our ends out of the game on 70% of the plays. Tired of seeing the fucking ends whiz on by the QB on every play. FFS, man.

59 seems to be having a period of the hard hitting tackling without wrapping up lately? One happened right in front of us Sunday - he smacked the guy hard, guy bounced off but fortunately TD was coming and got the guy out of bounds.

New York Jets running back Mike Goodson was indicted Thursday by a grand jury on weapons charges stemming from his May 17 arrest.

The Morris County (N.J.) Prosecutor's Office announced that Goodson was indicted on second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon after he was found in a car with a Taurus .45-caliber handgun loaded with an illegal hollow-point bullet. Goodson, 26, was also indicted with possessing the bullet, commonly known as a "cop killer" because it can penetrate body armor, which is a serious offense in New Jersey.

I wonder if the gun fell out of the vehicle?

No, that was a cut and paste from an article, but I did find this from the not always reliable wikipedia.

Teflon-coated bullets, sometimes colloquially known as "cop killer bullets", are bullets that have been covered with a coating of polytetrafluoroethylene.

Black Talon, a type of expanding, hollow-point ammunition also vilified in the early 1990s as "cop-killer bullets".

North Carolina state law specifically forbids persons in that state to "import, manufacture, possess, store, transport, sell, offer to sell, purchase, offer to purchase, deliver or give to another, or acquire any Teflon-coated bullet".
Teflon-coated bullets are illegal in Oklahoma under some circumstances.
Oregon state law forbids the "[possession of] any handgun ammunition, the bullet or projectile of which is coated with Teflon" while committing or intending to commit a felony.
South Carolina state law specifically bans "ammunition or shells that are coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon)".
Virginia state law specifically bans "bullets, projectiles or other types of ammunition that are: coated with or contain, in whole or in part, polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) or a similar product" while committing or attempting to commit a crime.

When I originally read the piece I took it to mean all hollow-points, but I was wrong in my assumption maybe.

It's cut and paste boilerplate from the wire service, just not accurate.

Teflon coated or hollow points (especially from a pistol) won't do much better than any other bullet at getting through body armor, probably worse in reality.

Hollow points would definitely be worse, as the entire point of them is to create extra fragmentation on contact.

How would it fragmenting make it more armor piercing?

Hydra shock bullets have been known to penetrate, no?

I'm not 100% on that by any means....
