i DOON;T KNOW WHAT TO THINK

Team finds ways to win. That's all it is. That's what wins championships.

The team improved as the season went last year, I expect the same this year.

Delhomme needs time to gel, that's all it is. He can play. The OL can play. Davis can play. The Defense can play. ST's can play. The secondary...well, like I said, there's room for improvment, but the Panthers are a total package.

 

We are taking positive steps and managing to WIN during the process is the biggest and most unexpected step. Our special teams are probably the best in the league. Our D-line is even better than last year. Our LBs are somehow managing to hold their ground despite losing our best LB Fields. Spoon kicks ass and Allen and Favors are stepping up. I t seems like the secondary has slipped a little but we should probably give them a couple more games to gel before passing down the verdict. We definitely could use an elite shutdown corner next year. Our O-line has improved a bit with Gross and James stepping up. Our receiving crew has improved but we still need an elite 1 WR IMO. Our running game has improved significantly with Davis and should get even better as our line gels in the coming weeks and Foster gets mixed in a little more. Jake has upgraded the QB position but he’s got plenty to learn and I’m confident that by mid season he’ll have a better grasp of what we need him to do.
This is a better Panthers football team overall than last year at this time and we should only get better and better (knock on wood). We have won two games late that we would have lost last year . . . that is the biggest improvement by far.

 

Hey, we will take a stupid loss at least once this year. Remember we started 3-0 last year.

 

In the meantime, I'll take gutty wins.

Funny comment from Fox on the question about 'almost losing and blocking an extra point' Fox said (kinda) 'i look at it as almost winning and giving up a touchdown.'

And I'm glad he does. We got lucky. We need to get alot better.
