I sincerely respect that you're the resident optimist, but the Shula/Davidson comparisons are very fair right now.

If I had to say, I'd wager Davidson is a superior OC.

Collin, you were right. As much as I like Charles Johnson and Deangelo Williams, Hurney grossly overpaid for them ... leaving us in terrible cap position.

And Magnus.. if you every would post here again, I would like to say you were right. Colin Branch really was a terrible safety.

That is what you call Marbles, folks.

I get the conservative/running game angle but it is preseason Purr. I think they've been very vanilla on purpose. Cam for the most part has tried to remain in the pocket, were not moving him around at all really. No designed run plays for him either. I think we've been trying to make a point of running a more traditional style to test the Oline and RB's. The results haven't been great mind you.

My heart wants to believe that the offense will be more dynamic in the regular season. My head believes that this is Shula trying his best in a misguided effort to be "more physical". My eyes tell me that it doesn't matter with this offensive line.

I only always wanted better WR depth than what we had at the bottom. Pilares is gone, Adams is gone. I remember being down to Goings at Rb and he got hurt. So I ain't apologizing for wanting to add Hixon anytime soon.

Sure, it's not like we have years of me demonstrating my knowledge and you demonstrating your lack thereof. I mean, if we did then you'd really look like a colossal dumbass for continuously arguing with me and a complete coward for never owning your mistakes. Someone who looked like that surely wouldn't have the nerve to keep posting.

Recognizing and learning from mistakes is one of the biggest keys to possessing real knowledge. Continuously making excuses is what holds people like you and CelticCat back.

    Except that:

    A) A lot of fans on this board and elsewhere were convinced that Chud's offense was terrible and that the Panthers do better running more conventional stuff.

    and more importantly:
    B) Shula himself has made comments to that effect. The coaching staff has been very vocal about how they don't want to use Cam on designed runs that much, and that they want to be a more conventional running attack.

I understand how annoying my arrogance must be, but I've earned it. I've been proven correct over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, even with the masses insisting that I was wrong. If no one argued with me this place would be even more dead and boring, so I'm not suggesting that no one should. What I'm suggesting is that if you want to contribute in a meaningful way or just to be a better mind in general then you have to stop making excuses for mistakes and start learning from them. I'm not right 95% of the time by luck. I pay attention to statistics, I watch the games, I listen to analysis, I think about things before I share them, and then I learn from the things I did get wrong.
