If Roger's didn't have hands made of stone, he would've had a fair amount of INTs in Washington. I agree he's not that good, but I would also think he'd be a better option than Samuel and the pricetag (besides pay) he would bring. Neither are very good options, filing the hole with a castoff nickel or camp casualty might end up being better options for the future.

"Worst hands I have ever seen coming out of a secondary. I think Jon Jansen could do a better job of hauling in the ball with both of his thumbs taped up like he had last year"

Yeah, Marshall's not really had success anywhere after here.

Kinda strange, that we latch onto a player we like here well enough, and they seem to sometimes be one of our core guys, and then when we release them, no one else wants em for long.

He didn't really have success here, either.

Bright his rookie year then never really progressed and actually seemed to fall off at the end. Perfect recipe for a player that will get a million second chances as coaches convince themselves they can fix him.

Marshall was similar to Munnerlyn in that he showed enough flashes as a nickel back to have teams keep trying him as a starter. Baseball and basketball teams make the same mistake in taking a guy who can be competent in a limited role and trying to expand that role well beyond their competence level.
