    Inside the Panthers: Rivera wants to get 'creative' with Beason this season

    I want a coach that knows 2 down linemen, 3 linebackers, and 5 DBs equals 10 and not 11.

    "What it does mean is we’ve got to be a little bit creative. In talking to (defensive coordinator) Sean (McDermott), some of the different things we can do with that package. Whether it’s three down linemen and three linebackers, or two down linemen, three linebackers, five DBs. We’ve got to really explore the possibilities, especially if he’s going to be as productive as he has been in the past."

    He's not a player you can "get creative with". He did one thing very well - play middle linebacker - and that was before his injuries. We've already seen him suck at Will and there's no reason to think he'd be better at Sam. The reality is that he should have been the one cut instead of Anderson.

    It sucks too becuase now I'm afraid we're stuck with Dan Morgan 2.0 at MLB. Tons of tackles but all of them 4-5 yards down field.

    Not to burst your bubble but all the panthers do is hire bland unassuming DCs, our next HC is more likely Dennis Allen than Sean Payton. HOW ELSE WILL BE BUILD A STEELERS SMASH MOUTH D MYSTIQUE?
