So yes, it!s ONLY preseason, but like all other Panthers fans, I'm entitled after multiple years of promise and hype are revealed as bull shit. Unless there is MARKED improvement next game and on, this year will be awful. Again.

Any real, solid, offensive minded coaches out there in the wings?

I swear, I fall for it every year. I should damn well know better by now.

College brains - Sumlin, Stoops, Shaw

Pro young guns - Shanahan, Jay Gruden,

2nd chances - Linehan, Whiz*, McDaniels, Sherman

*People that want to see Cam dicked around with instead of developed should be hoping for this one.

No one I like. I still believe that Chip Kelly was dicking around because he was hoping for this job to come open.

Shit I forgot to put someone off the Steelers for that list. Cowher is ALWAYS IN PLAY BECAUSE HE JUST WINS A SUPER BOWL OCCASIONALLY

You could also get Todd Haley. That would put an end to the babying cam problem.

I like Greg Roman (SF OC) but who knows if he'd be any good without Harbaugh. If you're going to take the "HC for Cam" approach then I actually like Baby Shanahan, although I'm pretty sure he's the heir apparent to his dad. I know it's become a punchline around here, but an established guy like Cowher wouldn't be horrible if he hires a good staff.

And it's fine to speculate about it. Even if my very rose-colored prediction of a one-and-done playoff year comes true, that might not be enough to save Rivera.

I'd be excited about that just for the entertainment value.

I do want an offensive minded guy. There's a few DC's that I like, but enough of that shit already.

He was here before, cleared out after 1-15 don't know if that would play any part but it's out there.

He was here for six years, which shocks me. I knew he was here for the Seifert years but didn't know he was a holdover from Dom. Either way I don't think it would hurt his chances.
