    People swear by The Beacon in Spartanburg, which I think is one of those places people enjoy more for the atmosphere than the actual food. There's something about a black guy screaming "Call It" that makes it stand out.

    I prefer Ike's off of Archer Rd.

    If your ever in Lake Wylie try Christophers. Get the Christophers Burger with cheddar and add jalopenas and BBQ sauce.

    The Varsity in Atlanta is famous as hell, for some reason. I thought it sucked.

    CC, good job on the smokes, I just made 6 months myself.

    I've found that many people will judge restaurants based on the ambiance more than the food. I guess that makes sense. If you just cared about the food, you'd order in.

    The main reason I don't recommend Beacon for those going to training camp is because everybody who isn't from Spartanburg ends up going there. The food isn't bad at all, it's just not worth the wait.
