My daughter forgot to transfer money from her Korean bank account into her stateside account. She went to a local branch and they said they couldn't help. Her Korean ATM card works here but we are talking about ~5000 dollars. There is one branch if the Korean bank stateside in NYC but its only corporate. Can anyone offer any ideas?

Yep. It's been fluctuating around 1100 KWN per dollar. We finally got her debit card linked so she can take out $500 a day to get it out. They won't wire the money to an American bank unless she has a a power of attorney there so she is having to pay like $22 per $500 withdrawal
