I've had enough. Enough of the blind retorts to Adam Schein's piece about why we're gonna suck.

First of all, if Star was the second coming of Reggie White and Joe Greene, he wouldn't have slid to fucking 14. He's a big strong guy with a limited repertoire of pass rush moves and he quit football when he was feeling bummed and started working at a furniture store.

It's like these ******s writing these pieces forgot 31 other teams had a draft too. Fucking A man.

The Panthers SUCK. We're a shit team, a shit organization, and we're staring down the end of a financial barrel that hasn't been fired yet. All we can do is deal with it for now.

 

Fans of most teams are hopelessly optimistic. There's nothing wrong with that, especially before a season even starts. In fact, I kind of like it since it counters my natural pessimism.

Darrelle Revis fell to #14. Haloti Ngata fell to #12. And Lotulelei never quit football, he failed to academically qualify at BYU.

 

By the way, my opinion of Mormons is well known but I dig the idea of a DT who will never consume soft drinks.

Right, I'm not disputing good players can't fall, I'm just tired of the articles all starting out by saying we drafted Star, so now we're gonna dominate the NFL and we're the bees knees.

He was for what it's worth, frustrated after he couldn't get into BYU and took a year off to move furniture. It wasn't until he had a kid he realized he needed to get back in.

 

Our DL is the bees' knees, on paper.

 

I think at this point, it's just the cat's meow. Let's wait until they play and start dominating before we go that far.

That's not accurate. He only played one year at his community college to get his grades up and preserve as much D1 eligibility as possible. You're the second person I've heard say this and I hope it's the last, since it's absolutely false.
