Everyone makes assumptions about Austin's injury probabilities. Maybe he'll bust.

Or maybe he'll be a dynamic playmaker, I don't know.

I do know this...I'm bracing myself for him being in a Panther uni. Something tells me we're going to take him if he's there....

You could be right, I'm saying he is a major risk. You can't help but watch that tape and have slobber coming out your mouth but the same thing could be said for a ton of guys his size. Hell, Harvins been injuried here and there and he's bigger and taller than Austin.

Not saying he CAN'T do it but he'll take a pounding. Hell, the best comparison is probably on this roster. Not everyone can do what Steve does toughness wise.

I say Fluker but our secondary is very questionable. If we did in fact take S\CB combo in the first 2 rounds it would be no surprise either.

If Fluker is gone, I'd really want to move back but that won't be easy as this draft is deep with very good talent in the 2nd and 3rd.

True enough. I wouldn't be unsatisfied with Fluker.

WEll, I'll dispute that tons of guys his size are slobber inducing.

Austin has completely taken over big games, and put up xbox numbers. Some of the things he does are completely absurd. He's a human highlight reel in the truest, rarest form.

He's just small, and his hands are just ok. That does worry me. Overall, I'm not ON the Austin bandwagon, but I'm watching it ride by in my neighborhood, and I feel myself staring at it like a little kid in a candystore...and it looks true. It looks legit. That kid is a fucking player, and he's gonna rape a few NFL teams down the line.

LOL, hilarious. I know what you mean about his production. Ridiculious. His highlight reel is unreal.

I'm pretty we already have the last smallish not great catching multidimensional super threat WR that went in the top 10 on our roster already. The other one just signed with detroit.

He's really not that raw. He has pretty good instincts and technique even though he has only one season of major college experience. I have no doubt whatsoever that he'll be a better NFL receiver than Austin and probably the best WR out of this draft class. I could understand the skepticism if he dropped a lot of passes, but he was great in that respect, much better than his teammate Hunter.

I'm all but convinced of a trade down. The only way I think they don't trade down is if NYJ beats them to the punch and SF trades there instead.

There is virtually no bust potential with Vaccaro. He's as safe a pick as you could make in the middle of the first round, but he's probably not going to be an elite playmaker either. You are correct about safety being very deep. Too bad the Panthers don't have a third round pick.

Fluker is too slow to play even the RT position. He'll get smoked.

Those two aren't the same player whatsoever.

He might be too slow to play it very well, but he'll play it. There aren't enough tackles around the league for him to not be outside. But sure, worst case scenario, he gives you a power guard.

Really? Go back and look at Ginn's highlights from Ohio State. Austin is a gimmick player. He can't break tackles like Smitty, can't run block like Smitty, can't leap up in traffic to make a catch like Smitty, can't use his hands subtly to create separation downfield like Smitty, etc. Austin is explosive but WVU constantly got him the ball around the line of scrimmage. He is dynamic with the ball in his hands, but how often can you get the ball in his hands at the NFL level?
