They are better than the local rags at Panthers coverage. Sad but true.

Jets were asking for more than the #13, Bucs were balking at that. Perhaps the Bucs would be more willing to send the #23 plus a few lower round picks if they were to trade down and pick up a few more themselves. Only problem is the deals have to be worked out ahead of the draft...

Again, that would make Tampa Bay's offer worse.

so what, Tampa has to agree to it first and the Jets have no leverage since there are no other bidders.

If we had the cap space to sign him to a new contract, what would you give up for Revis?

If you're trying to trade for a player then you don't want to make your offer worse. If Tampa Bay traded down it would have to be because they gave up on getting Revis.

If I was running Tampa Bay I'd give up #13 and next year's third. It's a steep price, but Revis wasn't phenomenal because of great speed, so I'm not overly concerned about the ACL. If they keep #13 they'll probably draft a corner anyway, which would save some money but obviously come nowhere near to Revis' performance level. The Bucs have cap space to burn, so it makes sense to burn it on the best corner in football.

What do we want to happen with NYJ and TB, relative to our draft strategy? TB can have their CB at #13, that's fine as far as I am concerned. Who would NYJ be looking at if they were in the #13? For that matter, what would Minni want if they were to move to #13?

Rumor is NY and MIN would be seeking a WR at those spots

Minnesota would definitely want WR. NYJ supposedly would, but I'm not buying it, as they still have Holmes and Hill. I'm pretty sure they'd go offensive line or defense.

Why isn't NY asking for a first next year? I don't think Revis makes the Bucs much better and this isn't a great draft- give whoever replaces rex more ammo.
