Maybe I've missed something but he got rid of gamble and a worthless dt while signing what 5 players (2 of our own) and three guys that should contribute to 1 year deals. With what he's had to deal with he's done pretty well. Granted I would have dumped Beason now but that would have meant dumping more players to get under the cap

I understand Beason's been injured and now he's playing out of position. Just a little surprised everyone's on board with dumping him.

Guy is an amazing player. And his "emotional presence" gets made fun of, but the Ravens rode that shit all the way to a Superbowl win. Don't knock it. It's real, and it works.

Last time he played that position he was bad, and that was before injuries sapped him of his athleticism.

The Ravens rode that shit and a load of talent all over the rest of the D to a super bowl I don't think Beason is going to will Dwan into being as good as Ngata

The renegotiations (Kalil, Gross, etc) pushed more money into future seasons to create cap room to spend more this season. So the 2014 cap situation has actually gotten worse.

He wasn't bad, IMO. He just wasn't the player he is at the mike.

I think it's disingenuous to just say it was just the talent on that Ravens defense, when they were playing pretty shaky ball before the players themselves admitted being powered and fueled by the "Last Ride" speech. Granted, Beason isn't getting ready to retire, Beason isn't and never was Ray Lewis, as Dwan isn't Ngata - nor am I saying the Panthers are Superbowl bound.

However, it's fanboy foolish to discount the presence of an emotional leader in a game where men smash into each other for three hours.

I'm not saying Beason is the bee's knees at SLB. I'm simply saying I'm just a little surprised everyone calls for his head.

    He matters. That's all.

    Agreed. It's really pretty depressing.

I'm also betting that we're eyeing an OT early because of this.

    No one is crucifying him.

We're in tough shape. We're sick of the bullshit. And we're watching with eagle eyes and furrowed brows, man.

Yea but seriously hurney (and who ever else) proper fucked this team. The raiders don't have to worry about winning now to try to keep their franchise qb interested in staying. They can hit rock bottom and still won't loose much because they have real fans.

Beason expects to play weak side, where Thomas Davis played last yr. Said he and Davis can each play both sides.

    Person tweet quoting Beason
