Sadly I agree. If Beason had stayed healthy Luke wouldn't have been drafted. I always liked Beason but like Morgan he couldn't stay healthy. Now get a offensive Co. that will use DW and Stewart
    agreed.

I hear ya, we just disagree on Elam. Probably agree on HoneyBadger too small for safety and not fast enough for CB. Reaching for DB is all. :goofy:

Nothing wrong with tossing out names. With late draft picks you're buying lottery tickets anyway.

I'm still a fan of Beason, I don't want him to go... he needs to take a pay cut... but he's still good. I think he'll be a better next year also

Whatever we cut for cap relief ought to in turn be the focus of draft. If its Gamble then Milner moves up the draft card , Gross? Insert an ot.

As much as I like Beason I think his days here are numbered

That's why I bitched about drafting Kuechly. They play the same position. You can't snap your fingers and magically change an inside guy to an outside guy.

It's usually guys that are late in their contracts (like Gamble and Gross) who also have a pretty high base salary. A restructure RARELY means a guy takes less money. It usually means that the convert some of their base salary into signing bonus money and then they add a year or more onto the back of the deal. that way you can pro-rate the new bonus. The problem with our roster is that most of the high cap players are guys who recently signed extensions so you don't save much by restructuring.
