"It feels decent to win, but not great. I'm not wowed by what happened today, and while a couple different calls could've blown this into a 20 point win (which it should've been), they did get a couple calls and should've won by 20 anyway."

"I almost hope we lose if that gets Captain Blowntimeouts closer to a pink slip."

"Goodbye, streak. And hopefully, goodbye OC who forgets too often to run the ball, even if it's not working at first."

These comments reflect how I feel. Always good to win, but it seemes like our coaches never realized we were playing against Matt Leinart. All we really had to do was stop the run. And the game management still sucks. And we get away from the run too much. And we forget about the tight end who is big and has great hands and can get open. And the play calling is schizophrenic.

Yeah, it's conflicting. I think it's obvious that Rivera still needs to go, but I think he's punched his ticket for 2013.

The play calling is incredibly schizophrenic, yes.

And I agree, Rivera should go. I asked the woman who told me Shula was a problem why that was, btw, and what she told me was interesting, though I'm going to reiterate that this is third party shit and does not come from the horse's mouth, yadda yadda ya. I repeat it because it's a message board, and it comes from BoA, so it's somewhat relevant.

Apparently they don't have a problem with Shula per say, but are very worried about Cam's mentality - i.e., they think he's gonna "blow or go". (Lose his shit or want out of town for a bigger market) They're supposedly keeping their eyes open for someone who can really bond with him and help him more one on one shit...all this apparently hinges on the new GM and whether coach stays or goes.

The most interesting tidbit she told me was this: Apparently Cam has bitched a LOT pretty openly about the playcalling, and he and DeAngelo have had heated exchanges with the coaches about it many times.

To me? Just to me? DOesn;t sound like D Williams at all. Just doesn't sound legit, but it was said to me, so I'm passing it on. Then again, I'm sure there are a LOT of heated exchanges with coaches and players all the time, so....oh, and supposedly DeAngelo was in the doghouse with Chud for a while for whatever....

Who knows if any of this is true or not. It does come from a source at BoA, and the source is someone who primarily works with marketing and the other comes from community outreach, so....not sure if that means a fuck...we all know how people love to talk shit.

I've resolved myself that Rivera is coming back but it'll only be get in the playoffs or pack your fucking bags.

The defensive line played well and with winning we may be taking the best CB or WR at this point

To me, it wouldn't be a stretch to believe DeAngelo was benched due to comments he may have made. Even some commentators have mentioned it - as in why is he in the doghouse. He's (DeAngelo) had some FB comments that have made me think he was unhappy initially and then making a point to comment he wasn't saying anything whem folks would rant about him not being used. In other words, his no comments seem to say a hell of a lot more. So I find that "rumor" quite believable.

Yeah, it sounds believable to me too.

One thing I really like about Greg Hardy lately is his awareness. He's reading those pitch plays and WR screens so fast that they have little chance to develop.

Very much so. It's embarrassing to me that I thought he would be a good quarterback. *sigh*

Yes. Brilliant, and awful, at different times. I don't know about the screen calls this week specifically, and there's still that tendency to go for the jugular when it might be unexpected on D but also fuck the team royally when it really could use a couple first downs instead of a 3 and out.

Huh. Seems plausible, but sucks because Shula seems like a pretty good coach.

I can buy that, to a point, but it's odd timing. Everything's working fairly well overall until this week. I don't pretend to know DW, but in general he seems like an easy going guy, but this year's gotta be frustrating for him specifically.

I thought the exact same thing if were talking about the same play.

Newtons pass slips thru Smittys hands and the DB almost had a chance on it?

Smitty shoulda had that, like the 3rd down earlier after his penalty that nullified the TD.

    Keek and Davis are balling.

Shame he whiffed on the early tackle on Pryor. Shoulda had that, but nailed him good in the redzone later.
