"I think that if you leave Sanchez in that locker room (as a backup), he's gonna become a bad apple."

    Jenkins would know.

They just gave Sanchez an expensive extension this past off-season. Rex Ryan couldn't start Tebow if he wanted to. Again, Tim Tebow has won 64% of his regular season starts and a playoff game.

Agreed, but do you know who looked amazing in practices? Jeff Lewis.

I've pointed out numerous times that Tebow had a QB rating over 90 while with Denver when not throwing to the sidelines. His motion is ridiculously long (like a baseball player's) and his accuracy is unquestionably below average, but his horrid completion percentage had as much to do with Mike McCoy continuously having him throw to the outside instead of noticing how much better he was throwing posts and slants. Also, I've noted how many QBs had completion percentages around 50% in their early seasons, including Eli Manning.

I think the Jags should do it. That kid they drafted is horrible and Tebow wouldn't cost them shit, they could make some other improvements to the team this draft while treading water at the QB position. If Tebow fails, they'll be drafting high enough next year to try to find a QB again.

Broncos last year with Tebow beat mostly shit teams. Raiders, Chiefs, Vikings etc. They did beat the Bears but with no Cutler. I seem to remember they were on a run of playing teams starting their #2 QB a little bit too.

They also backed into the playoffs with 3 loses.

Then Pitt went full retard in the playoff game.

Tebow thru for 320 odd yards on 10 complete passes. Let me repeat that 10 complete passes. So either Tebow is the second coming of Peyton Manning or Pitt just choked itself to death. 80 of those yards were the busted play in OT BTW.

Tim Tebows completion percentage is 46% in the regular season. Even after the Pitt game, in the playoffs its 40%.

BTW, lets forget the effort the Broncos Defense put forth in 2011 and this year too. It was all Tim Tebow in those low scoring games.

Youd be better off rebooting with Smith or Barkley.

The obvious problem is that using Tebow as a starter forces you to commit to a certain offense with certain personnel, which is quite an investment in an offense that fans don't want to watch and that can't be easily reconfigured if it doesn't work.

They lost three games after winning seven out of eight. Losing the last three doesn't somehow invalidate the seven wins, but people like you who hate Tim Tebow have to invent any excuse possible to pretend that he doesn't deserve any credit.

He only attempted 21 in that game. The Steelers only allowed 54.5% completions that season, and Joe Flacco was the only other quarterback to throw for 300 yards against them (he had exactly 300). And there was no "busted play." Yes, the safety crashed down because the Broncos had not passed on first down the entire game, but the corner was covering Demaryius Thomas. Tebow led him with a perfect pass on the slant, and yet again I'll note that he had a QB rating over 90 for the season when not throwing along the sidelines.

I keep noting how annoyed I get when people make me repeat myself and yet you're one of the worst offenders lately at forcing me to do exactly that. I already pointed out that the Broncos were 24th in points allowed last season, only a few spots ahead of the Panthers. Their defense was pretty bad, but again, Tebow-haters always have to pretend that someone else was responsible for those wins.

Like what really? Honest question. They have a decent TE, some depth at RB, decent WR already. I don't remember the Broncos retooling and they did okay with him, as you have been saying. I know Jags don't have Mike McCoy, but still.

I was speaking more in generalities, but sure, the Jaguars are one team where that kind of offense could work. It's not as if they're set up to succeed with a conventional passing attack. The Broncos did have to pretty radically alter their play-calling, and had they stuck with Tebow I imagine they would have retooled the roster as well.

Get annoyed all you like. At least i dont have to make up a fictional stat to try and make a point. (take out his shitty passes and he's 90%, OK)

Its amazing the love you have for Tebow is blinding you to the painfully obvious.

In your eyes Cam isnt a franchise QB yet Tebow is a legitimate starting QB.:potleaf:

Yet the reality is Cam HAS been the face of this franchise for 2 years now and Tebow was let walk from Denver by Foxy (and Elway) after 2 years. He cant even get a look in over a shitty Sanchez or Greg freaking McElroy.

The only reason the Jets or Jax were even interested appears to be for promotional needs, not what he actually offers as a starting QB.

You cant honestly be serious about calling a QB that cant pass to the outside with any consistency a legitimate starter can you? We had a guy like that in Weinke and even he only lasted 1 year as the starter.

His only legitimate future in the NFL resides at HB or FB.

This is about where you'd be calling Mags out for being intellectually dishonest.

What about every other team he played in '11. Seriously, look at his stats.

The fact that he makes so few attempts and still cant hit a 50% rate is even more telling. His ability as a runner is what makes his other passes look much better than they actually are.

Denver doesn't win that division last year if Oakland doesn't collapse in December. I'm not trying to formulate an argument against Tebow, because I do like him, but there was a lot that fell into place for the Broncos last year. Plus they were about 3 or 4 lucky bounces away from being 5-11 or worse. Elway wanted to elevate his team from flukey good to legitimate contender, and he has, so hats off to him.
