When it makes sense to let go of them is impacted by the june cut, though. If your statement is they should never do that, fair enough and we selectively disagree. But my statement is that they probably will.

Do you have a reason to suggest they wouldnt? If so, cool -- if not, cool as well I guess.

I have already addressed that repeatedly. Your one and only reason for posting in this thread is to seek out conflict by shitting it up. Stop posting in this thread.

now that I'm not on my phone - in your Beason example (which I wouldn't do, but is irrelevant) -- let's say they find the Achilles is partially torn again. Yikes, right? In that case, you just cut him. You have no realistic choice.

That's not actually the case, and honestly I believe the rest will do him good, but:
in that situation, "Regardless of whether you make him a June 1st cut or not, releasing him before the 2013 season creates $13 million total in dead cap whereas keeping him costs the team $9.5 million" is true, but that obviously doesn't address that a June cut does move some of it back. Just to assume quickly on a 5 year for sake of argument:

13 mil (/4 years left)=3.5 million. That 3.5 mil next year counts anyway. Is it irrelevant? No, but it will be there even if the world ends. If he's cut traditionally, then yeah, he counts $13 million total. If he's a June cut, you save the ~6 mil salary and he counts 3.5 million (that would count anyway). Now, it's not ideal to have to deal with $9.75 million in 2014. Not at all. But, if spreading it makes it manageable, and that beats spending $6 million in salary you know would be on IR? You might have to look at a second option and not say that there's $13 million dead cap and that's the only thing that matters. I really don't think that's the case. I think being forced to cut someone means making the best of it.

I mean, the numbers are probably screwed up, but I'm also juggling a toddler. And here's the thing, I haven't gotten personal with you. If you're sensitive, I'm honestly sorry. I barely want to deal with you anyway, and I have nothing to gain from dealing with you angry. I used some raw garlic last night -- I like to pick my nose. Sometimes you leave more than you take. Do you follow?

I think that's been the most disappointing thing of it all. I really don't mind looking at the guts of building a team - making coaching hires, shifting front office, that sort of nonsense no one else really cares about. But it's just so disheartening to have to move on it after a year and 6 games. What a freaking disaster.

possibly. I'm not as virtuous as Jon Beason but to keep an eight figure check, I'd line up a couple times with bloody stumps as feet.

It's disappointing that you can't ever be honest. You're constantly lying about your behavior, but fortunately I don't think many people are buying your act anymore. You're continuing to post in this thread and criticizing the way I made the opening post precisely to annoy me, to create conflict, and to shit up this thread. You've been told repeatedly to stop posting in this thread and yet you keep doing it precisely because your whole purpose in posting has been to achieve exactly this result.
