I can't remember because we didn't have a 2nd pick. Fuck you again Hurney. Could of would ofs are nice but I'd trade rosters with the Bengals if it were allowed. Young and improving QB and a rock solid WR who hasn't displayed a prima dona attitude. Above average defense. Where as we have a shit defense, a potentially great QB and an older WR and too much money in running backs with a o-line that doesn't blow folks off the line.

Yeah, it's not really a fair comparison since Carolina didn't have the second rounder, but I'd still take a potentially great QB over an average QB and an elite WR, which is what I feel Dalton/Green are. 3 years down the road I may change my tune, but I have not given up on Cam yet.

It is a fair comparison because it's not about taking A.J. Green at #1, it's a hypothetical trade down from #1 for Cincinnati's first two picks.

I know one game doesn't mean much but it is funny to see Paul lusting after the bengals the day after they lose to the previously winless browns.

Yeah the timing is a bit off but I'd been thinking about the position the Panthers are in verses the Bengals for a while. Their future looks a lot more appealing than ours. I mean for fucks sake they raped the Raiders in that Carson Palmer trade even though Palmer is playing somewhat respectable now. 2 1st rounders? That's Sean Gilbertesque

Why not fix everything at once and trade Hurney for another GM?!

Yeah but that's a different question than the poll topic. Are the Bengals managed better than the Panthers? In some ways yes, others no. They would never blow money the way Hurney has (Williams, Mare, Godfrey, etc). The problem I have with the Bengals is that they never spend money, period. They had a top flight corner in Jonathan Joseph and let him get away. Honestly, I think that might frustrate me more if I was a Bengals fan, knowing there was money to be spent, and needs to spend it on, and watch the team do nothing.

I can't think of too many teams that aren't better managed than the Panthers. Maybe Jacksonville. In Hurney's defense, we easily could have fallen into the Blaine Gabbert trap.

While we're dwelling on hypotheticals, I'd be happy to trade James Anderson for Von Miller.
