Panthers @ Falcons game thread..

I don't even care if he's it, or the coordinators, or any of it. I just like the design of the team. I don't want to go back to a Jeff Davidson thing. I don't want to be WCO, either. I don't want to be 3-4 honestly. Teams fuck up that way, they go overboard on the changes when what they have is right, but not necessarily being executed.

 

I don't really dislike some of the changes we've made. I like being a little more aggressive. I don't think Foxball works anymore unless you're an insanely talented defense like San Francisco or Houston. What worries me more is Rivera's overall ability as a HC, as well as the fact that Hurney is our GM.

 

Fuck that shit, yeah we competed and put up some points. But everytime the D made the stop to put the O in position to get a drive that would put us up by 2 posessions we flat out screwed the pooch with 3 and outs. And it wasnt because of ATL's fantastic defense. It was because Chud decided to get fucking cute again. I truly lost it when we came out in the wildcat near the end. Weve got Stewart, Tolbert and a 6'6 QB and no power running game. Its fucking pathetic.

And fuck Smitty for calling out Cam last week. Just knew that shit would backfire.

We should be sitting a 2-2 right now, somehow were not and i still dont know how it happened.

First thing Rivera talked about when taking this team over was talking about arm tackling and sloppy tackling. Its gotten worse.

 

Surely there's a happy medium between a draw on 3rd and long and everyone go fucking deep.

Whats wrong with a little power running and play action off of that. You know, like about every other team with a young QB does.

 

Chud called a very good game, although I've mentioned my frustration with giving so many snaps to Tolbert. That just feels like we're wasting opportunities for the other guys.

 

Que? The team had two 3 & outs and one came in the second quarter. The wildcat thing in the 4th quarter was just one play and they tried a conventional run on second down that failed. You really can't blame Chud's play-calling at all, so you look like you're indulging some kind of bias when you do that.

 

I actually wish we would take more deep shots on early downs. It seems like we're either doing read option or some designed checkdown or screen in those situations.

Either way, you should really be directing your frustration towards a defense that gave up a winning drive from the 1 yard line.

 

He had 2 opportunities to ice the game in the 4th quarter and he fucking choked worse than the American Ryder cup team.

No, its not his fault Cam dropped the ball but come on man. Where was fucking Stewart on either of those 2 drives?
