If you actually believed such a story then you would post it. The fact that you won't is what interests me. I said after the Giants "game" that I would wait until after the Seattle game before making up my mind. If we limp into the bye week at 1-4, I'm going to allow myself to start thinking about 2013. That includes potential replacements for Rivera, if/when it gets bad enough for JR to consider a change.

 

I'll talk about it begrudgingly, just because I always keep an eye on this stuff even when things are going well (and it feels better than being the one fed up and telling me I'm a dumbass, but not knowing any names to hire). It's irrelevant, though, because it's never who anyone wants.

 

I like Rivera and I'd love him to be the right guy, but he hasn't really shown any signs of being a good head coach. He's now 7-13. We've lost 9 games by a touchdown or less. At some point, close losses stop becoming an accident. And it doesn't seem like he has a great handle on the locker room- guys come out and say stupid shit with impunity. He's a good man and a nice guy, and Hurney has handcuffed him to a large extent, but I'm really concerned about him potentially being a significant downgrade from our last coach.

 

That little fucker Nakamura should be ashamed to cash his pay check this week.
