    Rivera says WR David Gettis is still working on getting back. Team hopes he will begin practicing in four or five days.

    That said, Rivera is very confident and excited about wideouts currently on roster.

    Rivera says defensive backs Darius Butler, R.J. Stanford and Nate Ness have made the most of their chances in camp thus far.

    Rivera also is very excited about TE Greg Olsen; thinks he can elevate his status to an elite offensive player this year.

    Rivera says Norman, Edwards and Bryant expected to practice today.

    Ron Rivera just ripped his team a new one. Pulled them together in the middle of practice and chastised them for not competing. Wow!

    Have not seen that type of emotion from Rivera since he got here. He is NOT happy right now with the effort at practice.


    Rivera reminded players (loudly) that there are only 53 roster spots. It's really hot out here and seems to be taking its toll on players.

    Norman seems to be okay. We are witnessing a changing of the guard here today. unbelievable practice performance.

    also mentioned earlier that Norman opened with starters with the Captain assuming the Nickle role

    Murphy and Josh Thomas fighting in the end zone. Play was away from them. Both ended up on the ground.

    Camp closes this week. What times are the practices on Wednesday and Thursday. I might go down and heckle Rivera
