I have seen some scenarios with the browns taking Ryan Tanyhill at four leaving the possibilty of the Panthers with the chance to get Claborne from LSU. I saw that we should not take a chance. This is definetly a need position.

After the aquisition of Tolbert from SD, I would package our #9 and J. Stewart to the Browns for their #4 and thier third round pick. We would assure ourselves of getting Claborne...or Justin Blackmon....and the Browns will still be able to get Tanyhill at 9 and pick up a running back. We could fill other needs with the thrid rounder

What would you do if you were the GM before the draft??

I'm ok with us making a move like this. I would love to be able to pick up Claiborne and I agree after the Tolbert signing, it does make you wonder if they are thinking of making a move.

On the other hand I wouldn't mind staying at 9 if we could pick up Coples.

Lets just sit where we are and see how this all shakes out.

last year many gurus had us taking Fairley #1 and he slid past the top 10.

Vikings seem more enamoured by Claiborne than Kalil it appears.

TB hired LSU DB coach so i dont see how he falls past them to be honest.

Id rather trade Stewart for a late 1st early 2 than package it for a CB with Kirkpatrick still available most likely, Jenkins could fall to our #2 with his issues, Gilmore too.

Wouldn't be the first time a college coach passed on his own guy.
