The #Panthers are having UNC DE Quinton Coples in for a visit today. Coples is projected to be a top-10 pick.

i know theres been a couple of visits; but wouldn't it be nice if we posted them all in one thread

Not really, because who gives a fuck? Visits don't mean anything.

so why do they do them? granted doesn't mean a lot, but it does show some interest. so far they have brought in a couple of highly rated DE's and a DT. maybe not earth shattering news but confirms that they perceive those positions as areas of need (not everyone on this board thought DE was a area of great need) ... otherwise, they wouldn't waste their time with the visits. if they start scheduling visits with OT's then i'll back down, cuz that's certainly not an area of need, and we can chaulk all these visits up as smokescreens. damn, i wish you weren't always right about everything. :suicide:

Joe Adams, the returner for the Razorbacks is apparently coming in for a visit.

Fits what we'd want on special teams, but if Hurney pulls the trigger on him in round 2 like Edwards i'll go batshit. The 4th OK.

Anyone remember Ben Patrick TE saying he thinks he'll be a Panther.
Could see that move happening but did he play last year?

2012 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

    person
    Joe Adams, WR, Arkansas
Joe Adams is famous for one play: the punt return against Tennessee in 2011. He broke countless tackles, somehow stayed in bounds up the sideline, then outran the entire Volunteer team to the endzone. Quite simply, it had to be seen to be believed.
But Adams is more than just a one-play wonder. He has been a force at wide receiver for the Razorbacks for four seasons now. In his freshman year he had 31 catches for 377 yards and one touchdown. As a sophomore he made 29 receptions for 568 yards and seven touchdowns. Although Adams did not rack up the scores in his last two seasons, he lit up the stat sheet with catches and yards; 50 for 813 and six touchdowns in 2010 and 49 for 630 and three touchdowns in 2011 (heading into Arkansas' bowl game). As mentioned earlier, Adams was also an outstanding special-teams contributor. He returned 16 punts for 259 yards (a 16.2 average) and three touchdowns, two prior to the amazing one against Tennessee.

The Little Rock, AR native stands at just 5'11'' and 190 pounds. His speed is what will make him hard to deal with for defenses at the next level, as he consistently runs in the 4.3s of the 40-yard dash and he has been clocked as fast as 4.30 from that distance. Adams could have a huge impact at slot receivers on Sundays, in addition to his status as a return man. Look for him to go off the board in the third or fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

unfortunately the kid has had a "mild stroke" and a history of migraines. He'll drop with that red flag. Percy Harvin has really been hobbled by his chronic migraines. pretty sad . .. they are both awesome players.

Visits dont mean shit. Some guys they may be interested in but others could be to screw with other teams drafting around their spot. They could be making sure there isnt somebody else the want when for example they want Decastro and theyve seen enough film and talked to him at the combine and they want to make sure Coples isnt somehow a better fit. They may never bring their guy in before the draft.

The guys were bring in are guys that fit what we need.

We do this every year, pretending Marty is some master chess genius.

We bring in guys we like, its there job to interview candidates that fit the bill.

That doesnt mean we wont draft someone we dont bring in.

We brought in the top 3 Dline guys so far, if that doesnt tell you anything i dont know what will.
