Good point. I think their value charts are roughly pretty good but like you point out there are obvious mistakes.
I haven't seen enough film of Poe to really comment one way or the other. I just know somewhere some front office man is saying , "There simply aren't any men in the world who are 346lbs. and that athletic."
I'm sure Hurney or Rivera will be prompted about this guy as people everywhere assume its our greatest need.

Poe is easy to chop at the line. Despite his athleticism, I didn’t see him get away from one chop block. He takes a lot of wasted steps and doesn’t display particularly good technique. At this point, he’s a raw player who has succeeded because of his athleticism, not because he’s a master technician. He also has poor play recognition, often losing the ball-carrier in traffic.

Poe should have dominated inferior competition at Memphis, but he didn’t. He racked up one sack and 22 tackles in all of 2011, including five games in which he posted just a single tackle. He’s the ultimate boom-or-bust prospect — loaded with potential, but failing to capitalize on it in college.

If you go by BPA in this draft at # 9 maybe you don't go DT at all. I've seen some good arguments that we take an OT if the Reiff kid is available. Though it kills me cos I think the D needs a ton of work, it does make sense with Gross getting up there in age.

I don't know man.....this is a frustrating draft for me. It wouldn't totally surprise me if Marty pulled something outta his ass and we end up with a top 5 pick.

That could only happen by giving up next year's first.

I'm not saying I want it or would agree with it. Just wouldn't surprise me.

It would shock me. Hurney isn't that stupid.

He's done some things that haven't worked out, and I'm not happy with a lot of it. But he's not going to trade up. I would hope they try (probably in vain) to trade down.

I really wouldn't put anything past hurney. Would I love to see a guy like Blackmon for cam to utilize . .. Yeah, but not at the expense of an entire draft year (or two). Recent example, the falcons.

We could get Floyd and there's a good chance he could do everything Blackmon can do. Maybe better. To trade up to get Blackmon when we can stay put and get guys just as good would be catastrophic, and warrant Hurney's assassination.

Speaking of Poe. . . have not seen him play at all. Is there any video of him actually playing 1st round worthy football? I sure have not found any. I have a serious problem with drafting workout warrior types. WHY DO IT? That guy who could jump completely out of the shallow end of a swimming pool and the guy who could dunk two basketballs on one jump . .. who are they and what NFL rosters are they on now?
I would take combine disappointments like Upshaw or Kirkpatrick before I would take some who'sthat who happened to turn in the workout performance of his life at the combine but has no negligible presence in a uniform.
