    On a scale of 1-5, how good are the Panthers' chances of making the playoffs in 2012.

    Would seemingly be a lot easier to get one of the wild cards in the AFC. The East, North, and South all have teams that could end up in second place with 10+ wins, so at 9-7 (which seems like Carolina's best case record) you'd probably come up short.

    I just think there isn't enough room to add talent for another drastic improvement. Too bad, because the foundation was there for a perennial playoff contender if '11 free agency had been handled correctly.
