Doesn't having a clown like Purrsecutioner on your side almost make you feel worse? It does to me. And please don't quote him.

SI's Peter King thinks the Texans are "seriously considering" letting Mario Williams walk in free agency.

The Texans' defense remained dominant even after Williams (torn pectoral) was lost for the season in Week 5. Youngsters J.J. Watt and Brooks Reed proved to be more than capable replacements, combining for seven sacks in two playoff games. Although the Texans have publicly stated otherwise, it's possible that breaking the bank for Williams won't be a priority.

We likely dont have the cap space for Mario unless some big decisions are made, but it could have a tickle down effect for guys like Cliff Avril and Osi Umenyora.

They won't let him walk. They'll franchise him and trade him for something, but the price might be lower than I thought. Also, Peter King should know that Watt plays a different position from Mario. Connor Barwin is the one who replaced Williams in the lineup.

I dunno. Probably better than telling someone else what they mean.

maybe he means Watt and Reed are rushers and that Houston can get by without him in that way. I dunno, but it's stupid. The part about them being able to make it without him is realistic, though he was on pace for a better season than ever under Phillips. If they think they could even have a shot at going farther in the playoffs, they should franchise him regardless of what they do in the long term. He does fit that defense, despite his size, as an outside rusher, and people just don't seem to get that in a 3-4 like Phillips' or ours, they're just gaps. Williams drops into coverage very rarely and rushes the edge almost every time, not unlike Demarcus Ware. You set your edges, you set your shell coverage, and the rest is window dressing.
But, Williams won't be here, unless JR decides to make a grand gesture for some reason, or we're sand bagging on what he said this month (which I doubt, he's very purposeful about his words, as is RR).

Osi would be neat, since I don't want an end at all, but he's similar to other guys I've suggested if we did spend. And Osi knows the D.

And, you can almost pencil in a guy like Samuel getting cut. That's almost where I'd want to spend as much as anything at this point, for a 2-3 year deal short contract, except he's not a good tackler and we have enough of that shit.

Rotoworld is the shit. I don't know why the NFLPA removed so much of their public information like salaries and such.
