Not that many players to bring back. Shockey, I guess, if you're sporting, but Connor is assumed to walk and will probably be covered by Gaither and another random veteran (though two vet backups will probably hurt special teams). Honestly Connor, while our best run defender and still low in things like missed tackles, hasn't impressed like last year. Too passive.

They'll probably have to sign two kicking specialists, though.

I believe it can. Not sure.

Connor got burned on passes numerous times this season because he is so quick to bite on the play action.

Waiver wire pickup Jason Phillips will probably be Beason's backup next year. Dan Connor is all but gone.

It was kinda funny when we signed all our guys to mega contracts, how some of the other players on other teams such as Forte and others began bitching about other teams taking care of their guys.

Hopefully it will help us lure in a few nice FAs.

So I'm trying to find something redeeming in the ashes, here.

Yeah, I'm over Connor. Can't count how many times he was getting his shit blocked laterally out of the way. Too many times he had contain, and bolted out of it to leave a gaping hole too, and took bad angles. Isn't strong. Once, I made a comparison to Jeremiah Trotter. WHoever sees me at a game, needs to smack me in the face with a strong open hand for that.

I wish we got something for him, but it is what it is. God, I'm ready for some good LB play. It's been painful watching this year. Even Anderson, who gets a lot of tackles, isn't spectacular by any measure.

Well, hate to throw a wet blanket on things but Yas' blog states:

So, TD may provide us with some wiggle room, but where else might we get it?

I love Hurney. All this for 6-10.

CJ's contract is looking pretty terrible about now, but whatever. Spilled milk.

Don't get me wrong, Connor was our best run player, he just wasn't up to last year. Sorry, I didn't see this before. It would be nice to have some size at backup MLB, however.
