So you think Hardy is not ever going to be starter quality? Seems like corner is a bigger need to me than DE.

No. Hardy is a very good backup, but that's all. I'm not opposed to taking a corner at 8/9, but the more I watch Kirkpatrick the less impressed I am.

Claiborne is the only corner I'd be happy with at 8/9, but he'll likely be gone. I wouldnt be upset with Janorris Jenkins later on, though.

Peppers!!! I'm not a Panthers fan but I will pull for them against my hated teams... But, he is just like Peppers.. Takes plays off and disappears in games.... I'm a Tarheel for life and the Panthers don't need Coples...

More at DE won't make DT better, but it has its uses. We can stand to get better about anywhere. That's not my concern with that pick, it's that he's not the type of end you'd want here and I don't honestly know if Coples will be this high in four months. If he is, the hope is he'll have the motor to play run downs at end, get enough size to go to DT, and make our current DT need a purely situational one.

he's nowhere near as athletic as Peppers. Peppers was a freak, Coples is athletic for a guy his size.

    Justin Tuck.

On a related note, I'm starting to get on LSU DT Michael Brockers' bandwagon.

Uhm ... he's a legitimate pass rusher at DE. He'll give you the option of bumping him inside in obvious passing situations, but he certainly doesn't have to do so to get pressure. And he's a top 5 talent who had a solid if unspectacular year, so I don't see him dropping far. He might not even be there at 8/9 given the dearth of top DL talent in this draft.
