no Grimes does help. I mean, not like Grimes is Revis, but you all but have to play c3, c6, or c2 one side/double double on the other to contain Smith, who's due for a big day.

I don't think we'll win, but their defense is bad and we're setup to play shootouts.

I dunno. It's going to take a lot of points to win. As much as I'd like to believe otherwise, my instincts tell me last weekend's defensive results had more to do with the Bucs mailing it in than the Panthers D suddenly getting their act together.

I think it's more likely they have a letdown after two road wins. Atlanta needs this and Carolina is running out of defensive players.

    Falcons 34
    Panthers 24

Atlanta hasnt played outdoors since week 4. It'll be close. Worried about Turner, more worried about the Julio/Munnerlyn matchup.

Turner has a groin injury, has been out of practice all week and is doubtful.

Unfortunately, I don't think they need Turner to whip our D. If the WRs drop a bunch of balls again, and Ryan has a generally shit day, maybe we have a shot.

Snelling and the tastefully named Jacquizz Rodgers have the ability to hurt, too, though that line isn't what it was before, either. Mughelli has the ability to make that hurt happen, he's not some insane fullback but he's good, and a good fullback against an inconsistent one-gap team can make things happen.

Certainly, the good news here is more that it would put more on Matt Ryan, and he was awful last week (against a much better D, though). Ryan's on pace to have more INT and be sacked more in a year than ever (which still isn't an alarming rate, but their scheme doesn't allow a lot of range for these things to happen).

He doesn't do well with more reps, and if we can keep some running going instead of wasting entire series on deep balls, that can't hurt. Play the field position game and get our drives longer, which has been one of my favorite parts of this O when working. Even when it gets 20 yards a catch, it's not like the drives are 2:30 and use four plays, you can still get six minutes out of it.

also, fuck you, NFL.com. I shouldn't have to hear 30 seconds of a stupid commercial over my music to look up ten week old stats.
