yeah, that's the magic formula. works every time. forget the arm, timeing, accuracy, anticipation, processing speed, football smarts...
he makes good players look foolish. him and those receivers are on another level right now. like i said, i don't remember seeing the throws and catches they make before. they're changing the game. but i did quit watching for about 10 yrs in the 90's.

I never said it worked every time or that Rodgers was only good due to those things. I do think it helped him a lot though.

They are on fire but I am not sure he is playing a lot better than other guys who have gotten on hot streaks in recent years. Tom Brady did it the year the Pats went undefeated and then lost the superbowl. Peyton did it the year he set the record for touchdown passes. Drew Brees was on that level the year they won the superbowl.

The throws and accuracy reminds me of Warner when he was in his prime. His ball placement is awesome, seeming to always give the WR a chance to make a bigger play. Warner, Brees, Manning and Brady have all been accurate but none were a threat to get out of the pocket and move the chains.

I think rogers right now is in the zone. He combines all of the said great QBs' strengths and as such, seems to be one of the greats right now, if not the greatest. But to be the 'greatest', he has to do it more than just last year and this year. Another year or two in the zone, along with another ring, and he could be annointed.

I love watching him, though I could do without the goofy belt thing and the one-arm punch up.

Would you trade the belt thing for a towel over his head?

He used to hold the ball too long. Not anymore.

You just got to hope to fool him now and then, get some pressure, and hope he doesn't kill you with his legs. Hope for mistakes around him. He's learned to be patient and take the small play when the big one isn't there. He rarely gets hit. He's accurate, his footwork is now coaching material, more than enough arm, and his decision making is best described as aggresively prudent.

    He's awesome.

the guy's accuracy is just off the charts. Then add in most of his receivers have been with him a few years and you see what you get.

Smitty would look like the 2nd coming of Jerry Rice with a guy like that throwing to him.
