Freeman didn't get his first start until the 8th game of the season plus had a full camp and 3 years starting at Div I

what Cam is doing, hasn't been done before by anybody ... not even close. comparing Freeman to Cam is like comparing Ugly Betty to Brooklyn Decker.

exactly ... despite teams now having plenty of film on him and readjusting their Ds. and what's scary for the rest of the nfl is Chud hasn't been able to even begin to tap into all his potential. give him an off season to work with his receivers and he is gonna be something very special.

Cam goes through his reads sometimes. He tries to get the ball out fast. That's part of the reason he's so effective. He's a rookie, and struggles because of it sometimes, but he progresses through his reads more than people give him credit for. His distribution is really good for a rook who was thought to run after his first read.

    My mistake.

I went back to read and you said he doesn't go through his progressions and return back to the primary enough. I thought you said he doesn't go through his reads.

    So that was my mistake.

hopefully, when the game slows a bit for him, he will get better with his progressions and looking off safeties, checking to other plays, etc.

or....he could hit a brick wall....like Bradford has.

Who knows....but he's bettern' I expected and our O is much more exciting than it has been in, maybe, forever, consistently at least...

His mechanics did look slightly better last game, as well as his accuracy for the most part. I do give a great deal of credit for chud, et al, for putting him good positions, considering his strengths vs weaknesses. Trial by fire isn't seemingly bad for him, like it would be for many...though playing rooks at QB this year seem to be the norm.

One thing he has done well is being a good face and prospect for the franchise. Every other game I watch, he is talked about as well as most all of the 'sports' shows, etc. He has handled the media and attention purty dog'on well.

Honestly, I don't care how many games we win this year, and I want to see improvement. If we aren't superbowl bound, I'd rather have some good draft pics next year, which I know isn't politically correct. I do want to go into next year feeling good about being a playoff contender. And as long as we keep improving and can put a few more good pieces into place, I feel we will be just that.

But again, who the fuk knows. I'm trying to keep my expectations on the low side so I don't ruin my TV on Sundays throwing beers at it. That and I'd like to get back to going to the games regularly. But I'm not spending $300-$400 for me and my son(s) and driving for 3+ hours each way to see the shite they've fielded the past coupla years like I have....

Does anyone know who our FAs are next year? It's a foregone conclusion that we'll overpay...

But I'd hope we can attract some marque FAs this offseason, and hopefully combined with a solid draft, be a remarkably better team for it.

That fucking defense needs an overhaul on the interior, and we need a better DE than 76, (even though he's good, he's more like a great reserve) and the corners.

    Yeah. Only that. :(

I don't know. The DL interior should be better next year, especially if we get back edwards and maybe add a vet, or even a srtong rook. DB needs about 2 additions. I don't think either is all that bad and would certainly appear better if we had beason and davis. The DE are not bad. Applewhite and Johnson are dang good.
